I have had a problem for the longest time ever. i went to fish stores or looked at other members tanks on this web site in person. and my tank has alot of air bubbles and it doesnt look to good... i dont like the way it looks. its coming from my return pump... any ideas?

Your retirn is probably sucking in air from one of the connections. One way to find the leak is shut off the power to the return pump & when the water starts siphoning back down to the sump, you will see where there's a leak.

Another reason is if you dont have a sponge on the intake to the return, bubbles might be getting sucked in from the sump. Do you have a pic of your setup?

maybe ur water flow is way to fast in the sump. this is causing ur bubbles to not dissipate and is getting sucked into the return pump... another problem which ive also experienced is ur skimmer. it might be letting alot of microbubbles out. one other thing as mentioned earlier why is that water level so high :eek:

its hight bcuz when i took the pic i toped it of with some water and the skimmer water flows back into the skimmer area then flows through the baffles and into the return pump... should i have like 2 sponge pads in between the baffels?
