In my 45G I have 2x65W 50/50 lighting. The tank has some mushrooms which have spread, zoa's which have spread, and xenia which has grown slightly in a couple of months. I am picking up 4x96W 50/50 lights second hand, and was wondering what other types of corals I could keep. I'll probably keep the existing fixture on there too, so that's 514W of 50/50 PC lighting.

I know mushrooms, zoas, button polyps, ricordias. How about brain corals, bubble corals? Any sps or lps?

Also, what are acans considered and what are their lighting requirements?

I would suggest against any SPS and most LPS corals, Bubble corals may do ok as frogspawn but nothing is guaranteed. Rics are touchy as well.

You can definitely keep SPS...just go for the easy ones and keep them near the top. Montipora digitata can spread like mad under your conditions. I have some growing under 4 65w bulbs (2 10K and 2 actinic) in one tank, and another batch growing under 1 96wt 10 K and 1 NO actinic...while both are the same corals, they have radically differernt growth patterns...the ones under 4 bulbs have larger, widely spaced polyps, the ones under 1 bulb have smaller polyps and tighter growth. In fact I have more luck with SPS like montipora than I have with LPS.
