The nc12 by saphire fits in the back chambor however, it was IMO unnecessary and a waste of money. I think that other ppl agree because their online store has been closed since Xmas
i disagree....if you tend to stock it with lots of coral...it is awsome...i would recommend it. This should come from a person who actually used the product before jumping to conclusions about it...

Well I OWNED one for about 6 months and my tank was pretty well stocked for a 12g jbj and it didnt do ANYTHING. I dont think that anyone here jumped to any conclusions. In fact, most nano systems really dont need skimmers unless you are completely OVERloading them, which IMO and most others is NOT a good idea to do. Weekly water changes of 10% should keep a normally stocked tank within the paramters acceptable in keeping a 12g system.
its all about pref....even if you do water changes there is still some stuff that a skimmer can pick up...i like very clean water...sorry about making that assumption DJ...lots of people tend to say that the sapphire skimmer is not worth it and have never used it...thats the only reason why i got so defensive...
The only other dowside about having a submersible sapphire in the rear chamber is that you are adding an additional pump that creates wattage in your tank (extra heat) and we all know that unnecessary heat in a closed top nano can be dangerous in the summer.
Once tank is cycled you think a blenny or two, a royal gramma, and a clownfish is too much with a few corals for my nano 12? Again this is way down the road. Im adding my live sand and live rock tomorrow to begin cycling process.. YEAH!!
the guy that build the sapphire skimmer has left the reef scene...and dont know if he'll be back........
i never owned a nanocube so cant tell you what will fit....
but if you must skim...then you will most likely need to mod the canopy to fit one in there........
I have the saphire aquatics 12G nano skimmer, in my opinion it works very well. It take out lots of green tea from my tank every day. you have to tune it. But once it gets going it is a decent lil skimmer. I've had it for about a year and it works very well.
