Again I read it somewhere that you only change water after ammonia is at 0, because you don't want to dump the bacteria as they build up. What did you do and how long was your cycle? Assuming I'll be cycling with LS and cured LR.

ok it's a water change after ammonia and nitire reach 0 and nitrate reaches near 0. you should read some of the beginner forums, i'm sure a simple search would find most of your answers.

There are many differences of opinion as to how to cycle. You have to read and decide for yourself. If you have live rock and want some stuff to live through the cycle then you should do some water changes just to keep the ammonia down so critters have a chance to survive. Yes you will lose some bacteria but most of it is not in the water itself but in the rock, on and in the sand etc.
