Media Bag Broke, Purigen everywhere...

The title pretty much says it all. I had a media bag of Purigen in the first chamber of my sump. It opened up somehow, and now i have purigen all over my fuge. Its in the sand, on the rocks, etc.

any suggestions on what to do (if anything)? I would really prefer to not have to tear up my fuge which has been running very well for quite a while, but if this crap is going to posion my system eventually, that would be good to know too...

Siphon it out.

ill give that a try...the water level in the fuge is pretty low though, and the fuge is basically at floor level. not sure i can even get a siphon started in there :banghead:

Just turn off your flow and use a turkey baster to suck it out.

Use a power head into a filter sock or new media bag I have done this along time ago..
