JBJ ATO question

can anyone with a jbj ato let me know if there is a way to control the amount of water that gets dumped from resouver to sump. i tried both A & B mode but everytime water goes low in sump and activates the sensor the ato just dumps the whole load(about 2-3gal) into sump(currently using mj900 on the jbj ato)
anyone else have the same problem or is it just me?

Is the tip of the hose submerged underneath the sump water level? It might be creating a siphon and sucks all the water from your reservoir..... or it can also be that your reservoir is higher than your sump...

i have the jbj and the way mine works is when the sensor is lowered from lower water it turns on until it raises it back up again, maybe you have the sensor in a bad spot, but all of the other other jbjs ive seen work that way and there isnt anyway to change it.
