Aqua Medic Skimmers

How would you rate the aqua medic line of skimmers especially their 1000 line?

I had one for quite a while (the black T1000) and thought it was great. Others on this board have bashed them but I really dont see why, they are well built and the funnel in the collection cup really concentrates the skimate. The one thing I would say is that you should definitely upgrade the pump, to the OR2700. This may be standard these days but at the time I got mine it was considered an upgrade.

i rate anything by aqua medic as bad. sorry. invest in somthing more reliable. for real. try reef octopus recirculating skimmers. there are some vendors here that carry them. and very affordable
