I asked the same question on another site and recieved positive feedback. while they did not compare the light to any other brand they were happy with their purchase.

saw the ad on company website, intrested in the company and the light never heard of them before and never see them advertised

I heard these being compared to the Odyssea (sp?) light fixtures in terms of quality. Some people were complaining about the bulbs in particular. There's a few older threads on RC saying their customer service is awful and their light fixtures are junk. That was from 2006 though. I have no personal experience. You do have to wonder why they're so cheap though....

I have their 6x39 T5 fixture with the moonlights and I've had it about 3 years. It works fine - the only problem I had was when the bulb clips rusted but I called them and they sent me a new set at no cost - HTH.

Steve,It doesn't have a splash guard.Save up and get a Tek Or a Aquatinics.Looks cheap.

I have experience with catalina. I have a large pc fixture on my cichlid and another catalina pc fixture on another tank. they are coralife knockoffs, as most of their products are knockoffs of some major brand. They are good fixtures and are very customer friendly. When I had a problem they send me the replacement part I needed with no charge. I bought their canister filter a few years back. It looks identical to an Eheim, but it sucks imo. I have tried their powerheads as well, and they really suck too, they are very tempermental. They have good lights though.

One light a 72" 6 bulb
One light a 72" 10 bulb

Never have any problems at all
I would buy again if i needed again
