RO/DI TDS Meter in Brooklyn Reading 0PPM

Got my spectrapure RO/DI unit yesterday. Tested the TDS IN and OUT water supply and both read 0 PPM. The IN water was initially, 30-40 PPM and then gradually dropped to 0 and has been 0 ever since. My friend's did the same thing, different building.

Is the water that clean or is something wrong?

Something is wrong. the 30-40 ppm reading is normal for Brooklyn.

my ins read anywhere btwn 30 qnd 45 and my outs anywhere from 2-0

nevermind, i found out that the IN measures the water after the RO membrane, which should read 0. Thanks everyone.
