Do you have any hermit crabs? My hermits would kill snails for their shells.:irked:
Where did you get the tank? Is it a new, or used tank? If used, are you 100% certain that it was never dosed with copper?

I do but they have been in there just as long as the snails, but the snails werent eaten, they were half out of their shell and dead (not moving or anything). I bought my tank new and 100% certain i never used copper

Just a thought, did you do any type of water change, snails are extremely sensitive to salinity changes. I hate when we have to acclimate them in the store. You said they were in there for 3 or 4 months something had to change. Usually if snails are not acclimated correctly they die pretty quick with some lasting a few days

i got them from a lfs. Ive had them all for at least 3 months, i did a water change before but round the same alkalinity i think. It could be the through evaporation it was high and when i did a change it dropped to normal?

Siond, always acclimate inverts when you get new ones. Try to keep on top of your top offs. When doing a water change make sure the salinity & temp are the same as your DT's.
Wish you better health for your animals going forward.;)
