I finally got around to taking some photos of the new corals I picked up at MACNA. I have a few questions for you guys (see below). Thanks!

6 this fellow managed to get out of my separate holding tank thru a hole the size of a pencil LOL... i still can't find him (it's been about a week) =(

1 will these zoos heal? i think they half died from the light being too strong up top and i moved them.. now they lost their colors but they still close up... will they ever return to what they use to look like before?

In order--the stuff coming out of the mushrooms mouth is zooxanthellae (symbiotic algae). Corals have the ability to control the amount they house in their tissue it is being expelled most likely to adjust for higher lighting.

The zoas will recover.

That orange "thing" is another type of Corallimorph related to the more common mushrooms and Ricordea we see. I can't recall the name right now. It is very nice.

The tang that eats like a "hippo" will also get as big as one.

1. they should heal. don't start corals all the way on top. start on the bottom. i dunno about the starfish all over the coral tho.
4. looks like a st. thomas shroom, i believe.

Isn't that a juv. Vlamingi tang? In which case it would get huge!
