I tried to get a tuxedo urchin but my LFS did not have any at the time. But he did have a really nice lookng Foxface which I always wanted and figured it was a win win situation. If it does continue I will look into the tuxedo urchin on loaner as well.

Thanks

Well the hair algae problem has been resolved for now, if it was really a hair algae problem to begin with. My Foxface is really happy in his home and eating very well. All I really did was cut back my light cycle to 5 hours per day, some trimming and pulling and I let my CUC and fox face do the rest. Now I am slowly bringing my light cycle back up to 8 hours per day.

Thanks and good luck to everyone that is dealing with hair algae.

It's been two weeks since I have been doing the Kent MG treatment. I still have hair algae but it has definitely been dying off. The remain hair algae has turned a very dark green/brown color and I am noticing pieces of HA periodically floating in the tank (I try to remove most). *keeping fingers crossed*

I just wanted to add a couple of pics of the worst spots in the tank. As bad as this looks it improved a ton! I will post more pics in a week or two of the same spots just to make sure I am not hallucinating :) I just want this crap off my rocks and nice pink/purple coralline to encrust.
