Mushroom Leather

hey guys i started a new tank
i want to move my Mushroom Leather to the new tank. what id like to know the best way of getting off the current live rock. it grew on to rocks that are infested w aipstia. and i dont want to just put the rock its on into the new tank. my plans are to kill and cure all the old rock. i was thinking use a razor gently cut it off and use fishing line to tie to a rock from the new tank

You could use a razor to cut the mushroom at the base or you could use coral nippers and cut the rock under the mushroom to minimize the injury to the mushroom. Either way you should be successful mushrooms are really hearty. Goodluck
