Hey everybody, just wanted to drop in and shoot out a blog about my new Nano tank I set up. I am new to reef tanks and saltwater in general. I have been researching and hiding out in saltwater aquarium stores all over Long Island for the past year now. I have a 10 gal. nano tank with about 15 lbs. live rock and live sand. After I let it cycle , I slowly added some cleaners. I have 3x hermit crabs, 1 emerald crab, 3 snails, 1 fire shrimp and two damsels. All of which were placed in the tank in intervals not all at once. Last week I added some coral so I now have 4 zoa's, 1 kenya tree, 1 star polyp cluster and some mushrooms. I feed the damsels pellet food but they are very finicky eaters in my tank so I was wondering if I could pull from the experience to figure out exactly what I should feed them. Also, I supplement the tank with Part A & B nano mixture from kent, Purple up ( I have no coralline algae) and give the coral phytoplankton mixture from kent. Well, I hope I didn't bore too many readers out there and if I did well I guess I got to buy you a beer LOL. I'm just looking to pick the brains of all the knowledge out here on LI. Thanks for reading.
