I am building my first reef tank 225 gal (yes i know i am crazy but i like to start BIG) and need help on tank equipment i want the best of best.

this is what i am thinking of so far is this good stuff?

1. TYPHOON III AQUARIUM RODI 75 or 100 GPD
2.
TRUVU REEF READY AQUARIUM MODEL 225 T
3. 2 x Pan World Magnetic Water Pumps
4. I have no idea about lights.
5. No idea about what heater to get
6. Tunze Wavebox or Ecotech Marine VorTech ?

Can someone suggest some equipment if the above is bad/wrong.Thanks in advance

i'm all for big tanks, but there is something to be said for learning to crawl before you walk...you sure you know what you are getting into with a tank that big?

Definitely. go big if you can. More room for error.

1 - 100GPD
2 - AGA (only because I am not into acrylic)
3 - Good choice. But whatever you go with, get an extra so you have a shelf spare.
4 - look into LED's - If not 250w MH x 4/pendants (depends on what you want to grow in the tank.)
5 - 2 or more 300 W (never use one heater)
6 - 2 Vortech 40's

Welcome to MR and best of luck with the build. Can't wait to see the tank thread!
