Overdosing Rotifers?

I bought an electric flame scallop and a rotifer solution made by a marine club in southampton from aquahut. i was told by one of the guys there that the solution has a shelf life and that i should feed my scallop twice a week a half cap full of the rotifers. I'm pretty sure that even though Im keeping it in my fridge, the shelf life of the rotifers will expire before i use all of it up.

Is it possible to overdose with the rotifers? if i started adding them to my fuge would they start to colonize?

Unfortunately no, rotifers food source is phytoplankton and they need to be feed every 4 hours. If you're interested in trying Joe Burger has a good write up on his site, http://www.cnidarianreef.com/ just go the the culturing live food section.
