PC vs T5?

I've been looking at upgrading my 29gal bio-cube to a retro T5 set up. Whenever I buy frags they look amazing under T5's but then once they hit the PC's they don't look as good and then after a few weeks they start to have a brownish/faded look to them. Why does this happen? Is it the difference in wattage or is it something else?

Your corals will have to adapt to the lower intensity.That cube has pc stock right?

what kind of corals, and when was the last time you changed the bulbs?

what type of water parameter issues would cause color loss? i'm at work so i cant test right now

Test for the usual suspects like No3 and Po4's.
