GSP on sand?

Will green star polyps spread as rapidly on the sand bed. I have an isolated vertical rock that I want to cover in GSP but don't want it all over my tank

I don't believe GSP will grow onto sand. They can start to make small bridges so be sure it's a bit away from other rocks.

it sure slows them down though. isolation is a good idea to help prevent spreading

they won't attach to sand so that's a good thing...I have mine on the glass of my BB tank and it has attached....

This coral grows like a weed and yes make sure it is isolated and not near any rocks that it can grow on and spread and sting other corals
