I made my own sw rock on 2/20/2010. i have changed the water once a day and sometimes twice a day and the PH is still going crazy. none of them are round, almost all of them are flat peaces no more then 2" thick. how can i get the PH down. i need the rock like now, i know i that there is no trick that will get it done that fast but there has to be away to get it done faster then what its doing now.any help would be great... thanks

did u cure the rock first ? and small amounts of vinegar will bring ph down

any lfs should have a ph buffer or proper ph additive.

A buffer isn't going to cure the rock any faster, it will just buffer the pH.
If you use the rock before it's ready, you're asking for problems. Let it stabilize on it's own, and buy some rock if you need rock now.

IIRC it usually takes about 2 months for home made rock to stop affecting the PH.
