quieter external pump

I have a blueline 70 which runs great but i was wondering if there was an external pump that was comparable in output but much quieter
any input would be appreciated

Bob,
Since you don't need a pressure rated pump, look into the Reeflo line of centrifigal pumps, they are much quieter then the magnetic pumps.

Also take a look at these pumps that just came out. Some things to note if you were looking into the ATB Flowstar pumps:
These pumps seem not to have the "restart" issue, there are 2 models with decent Head Pressure capability, Unions on both ends, non-binding shaft & impellar due to calcification & 3 year warranty.

I had a blueline, and I found a two inch thick piece of foam rubber (like the stuff wrestling mats are made of) to put under it that really helped cut down on the noise. Something to think about while you're looking for a new pump. I got rid of mine because if the noise too
