Tridacna Squamosa

I have a Tridacna Squamosa that is 6-8'' and is getting a little large for the space its in, for the last month or so it has been belching quite often, is this a sign of deteriorating health? still seems to open fully when not belching.

I think it's trying to move to a more comfortable position either for more light or to avoid laminar flow.

Belching is when they expel large amounts of air by closing quickly. I do not dose vodka.

People belch when they drink, thus the "only when you dose vodka" joke.
