I have a green feather duster-- the kind with the soft tube. I've had him for over a year, and he seems to be doing great.

My problem is my scopas tang picks at the side of the tube, probably just nipping at algae, as there doesn't appear to be any damage, however the tang will knock him all over the place, sometimes picking him up.

My question is, can I glue him to a rock? Up until now I've only placed him in crevices, and not very tightly for fear of squishing him. I don't have a deep enough sand bed for him to stay there, and I think the tang would just pull him out anyway.

super glue is non toxic and used by the guy at my lfs to attach frags to rocks all the time, not sure if it would work on a feather duster though. Best thing to do is find a hole in a piece of live rock and stick him in there

The problem is the tube isn't straight-- it's almost a corkscrew shape. Any hole that I can find that's wide enough to accommodate the width doesn't really hold tightly.

I'll give the super glue a shot-- I don't see it doing any harm.
