So.. I've decided I really don't like the way that powerheads look inside of my little 6g nanocube. The physical room for display just is too small.

So I think now.. that upgrading the return pump is prob. the best way to increase the flow in the tank.. keeping it healthier and also keeping a sort of organization/cleanliness (look) to the tank.

However I can't google any reliable info for which return pump will fit in the back chamber of my 6g nanocube.

So I was wondering if anyone on here can point me to a site that will help me out or knows themselves what my best option is for upgrading the return pump..

Or is upgrading the return pump somehow a bad thing, and the combination of the stock return with a powerhead is the recipe to success? lol

If you are willing to spend a bit more the vortech MP10 powerhead is awesome and has a really small footprint. Its flow rate can be adjusted to fit a tank that small and really gets rid of the dead spots.

I have a maxi jet 600 for him I am going to turn it down thought, and make a little plumming project for him.

the pump will sit in the return area and I know home depo and buy a valve that will kick back the pump.

I used a Maxijet 400 in my tank and it gave more than enough flow. Just direct the accelerator to wherever you need the flow to be. May also want to throw in a koralia nano on the other side to get maybe the back area so there are no dead spots in the tank and circulation is going everywhere.
