So the new tank I'm going to be starting up is a 46g Bowfront. (36 x 15 x 20)

However I have a few questions..hopefully some of you can chime in and give me some real perspective.

For this 46g Bowfront that I am planning on setting up I am -

1) Creating my own LED fixture 36 - 3w LEDs (18 Cre XR-E White & 18 Blue)

I'll probably be using a dimmable drivers.

What degree of optics should I be using for this 46g bowfront 40, 60, or 80?

2) Sump - I have a friend which has a 40g breeder sump (baffles and all in

place already) I know majority of people have a sump which is about half

smaller than the display tank, however I wanted to know if there was a

reasoning for this 1/2 size smaller sump? Because my stand will accommodate

a 40g breeder on the bottom. So will it be fine to use this 40g breeder as a sump for my 46g bowfront?

3) Will an Eheim 1260 return pump be sufficient enough for this 40g breeder & 46g Bowfront combination?

Eheim 1260 specs -
* Output GPH: 640
* Head Height: 12 ft.
* Power Watt: 65W
* Intake: 1"
* Outlet: 3/4"
* Dimensions: 6.25” x 8.5” x 4.5”

All comments & advice are appreciated!
