Hey all..

Well got my diamond dusted drillbit to finally drill my 46g Bowfront.

Anyway the return pump for this system will be an Eheim 1260 (630gph)..

I would like to know if a 1" drain & 1" return will be a good option for this build?

The sump is going to be a 40g breeder.

Thanks for comments/advice in advance. :splitspin

Just to clarify again -

46g Bowfront w/ 40g Breeder Sump w/ Eheim 1260 (630gph) return pump.

Consider even bigger on the drain. It's never a bad idea to go big on the drain, this can allow u to increase flow an turnover without backing up. Also? Less chance of "glug glug glug"! I'd go 3/4" return, 1-1/2" drain

I went from 1 1/2 in bulkheads to a 2" in y connector (I have 2 overflows)before a 45 degree bend, and into the sump and it really quieted things down. If you can, increase the diameter on the way down, it worked well for me.
