this is gunna sound crazy, but...take the rock out and blast the aiptasia with one of those barbeque or stove lighters, the ones with the goosenecks on them. Flame it for about 30 seconds, it will be completely done for. Then rinse the rock in fresh water for a couple pf seconds. If you really need to, you can go over the spot with a bristle brush, old toothbrush, or even a screwdriver or a razor. All gone.

+1 on all the "keep the worms" comments - they are a good part of your clean-up crew.

I have dealt with aptasia forever, and I feel I have finally figured out how to rid my tanks (but not my systems) of the stuff for good. I have a copper band butterfly fish. She has cleared my main tank and is now working on my small tank. I won't be able to feed her the aptasia in the sump or overflow, so there will always be a source of new ones. That's the thing, as someone said above - if you have a single aptaisa, you will eventually have a forest of aptasia, unless you have an animal (or an army of animals) who eats them.
