Hello all, quick question. I got my new light set up today and after putting it on, I did not know if I leave the glass canopy on? Or do I take it off? I think the light looks better with it off, but will my fish jump out???

Yes, your fish will jump - you need to make a mesh cover for the tank - FIRST
Best to remove the glass covers as they will impede oxygen exchange and reduce the amount of light getting to your corals.

It's up to you. I haven't heard of these being jumpers. I keep my tank open and haven't had any problems in over a year. And I have gobies.

I had a false percula clownfish jumped out of the tank only because it had been bullied by the larger one for several month. One day he felt had enough, so he jumped.

Clownfish are not known jumpers. I also have two fire shrimps and they are good.

Is there a glass/plastic covering the bulbs wiht the fixture? You dont want water to splash and hit the bulbs..

if you want to be safe go you can get egg crates for lighting fixtures at home depot or lowes and cut out panels to fit your tank.

Clownfish are not known jumpers, but my jumped once too. Fortunately to the back chamber of my Solana so I could put him back in display. I would do a DIY mesh cover if I was you just to be safe
