okay guys i made the change from the 55 gallon to the 90 and mostly all the new water i put in was rodi except for one 5 gallon bucket now my ph is 7.8 when i test it i dosed it a coupe times in one day with kent buffer pro and it went up then dropped back down later and i tryed reef code b buffer by brightwell same thing,my calcium is 480 everything else was stable ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 0.what can i do ?

I was trying to tell you before but I hit up lionfish 718 by accident lol 2nd time I did that. I'm thinking you are not getting enough oxygen. Do you have a canopy/glass tops on your tank? Also lava rock is good for keeping ph buffered naturally without use of any chemicals

Best to stop adding buffers, the rollercoaster ride that your tank is going through is worse than leaving it alone :(

If you are going to open the covers, you also need to be sure the surface of the water is highly agitated so the gas exchange can take place.

Opening a window and getting some fresh air into your home is also important.

Did you re-use the sand bed from the prior tank? How long had it been up for?

How's your oxygen and alkalinity levels ? Are you still using the same main pump ? Maybe you don't have enough circulation within the system. Also try to create some water movement on top of the water surface to raise oxygen and ph.

yes kathy i did use the same sand bed plus added two new bags and seeded it with the old sand my old tank was running since december 2009 and this one has all my old water from my 55 and filter media pump skimmer i added a fluval u4 in water pump also for extra filteration and water movement .
