so i came home yesterday and my tank was in the high 80s - 90 range and my corals were def stressed. so what i want to know is if i need to have the light on or not or if you have any suggestions to cut down on the heat

Tank specs:
NC 12 with PC lighting

corals, softies, lps and pretty much hardy corals

Aside from getting a chiller or turning the room AC on?

You can keep the lights off for up to 3 days without any damage.

Not going to be in the 90s the rest of the year after today so, no need to worry.

Pick up some 1" styro to keep the cover open, this should vent some heat out. If you need more use a clip on fan over the food door, you'll evap a lot more but temps should stay down.
