I started feeding my lavender mushroom brine shrimp. I have two clowns that love chasing them around, and my emerald crab gobbles it up. Only thing is, the water in my protein skimmer is now a teal color.
Anyone seen this before? I wish I had a camera to post a pic.
As always, thank you in advance.

You don't need to feed your mushrooms- they will eat whatever is blowing around in the water column that your fish/inverts don't capture.

It doesn't make a lot of sense that the water in your skimmer would be teal unless the acrylic it is made from has that hue in it for whatever reason. The water would be the same color as all the rest of the water in your tank/sump.

Brine shrimp is nutritionally not a good food for your fish or corals unless you gut-load them first. ONLY new born baby brine shrimp with the yolk sack still attached are good food.
