Hello
Quick question. I have a green bubble tip anenimone that seems to be doing laps around my 16g. When I bought him he was in the perfect spot, light, flow, etc. I know these animals tend to move around for better light, etc. However mine posted up in the top corner of the tank. Anyway to move the guys or anchor them down? Is this healthy?

its the light then, thats the only reason that it would travel to the highest point. anemones go where they feel is the best spot. if u do plan on moving it use the power head (FROM A DISTANCE) to help remove it, it will let go after a little bit.

If your anemone is doing laps around your tank than it is not happy. Trust me when theyfind the perfect place they will stay put. They love light. I have a feeling your anemone needs some more light. And especially by the pic you posted he is at the tipy top of your tank.

The easiest wat to move that little guy is to put an icecube on the outside of the glass if you can reach that area of glass....He will start to move...You might need a few cubes.... But he will move due to the cold. At that point you can saftely move him. Their foot is delicate so be gentle with the little guy.

They'll go where they want...regardless of where you think you want them. I have 3 and trust me they have free reign to go where they want cause I know they are happy now. Problem is they can hurt other things along the way...

Buddy,
This method does work as well....I just find that most people don't have the patience and blast the animal possibly doing damage. With that said I have used this techniques before with success. Actually, I have used bolth at once as well....:splitspin

If it keeps moving around then it probably wasn't in the perfect spot to begin with. Normally they will just find a good spot and settle down. Thing is your tank is kinda small and it looks like a pretty young tank. Anemones aren't the easiest things to keep and a small/new tank just makes it that much harder.

Assuming it is moving around because it is just stressed out/a new addition, you might want to just give it some time to settle in before trying to blast it with a powerhead or get it to detach with an ice cube.
