Good husbandry will keep your levels where they need to be, buffering should not be necessary.
Feed correctly, do your water changes on a regular basis, keep all parameters where they belong through monitoring, do not overload your tank with fish, keep your temp and sg at the proper levels with little to no fluctuation.

Your pH will change slightly with lights and in the dark. My tank flutuates between 7.9-8.4 being at night, all the photosynthetic corals and plants will release Carbon Dioxide at night. Even with my tank having a sump with plants, the pH still changes....

What Kathy said is more true especially for the size of your tank. If you do some water changes on a set schedule (ie, 10-25% a week?) you would avoid a lot of problems moving foward. There's no need to add any special buffers. It all depends on what you plan on keeping...If it is hard corals, you may end up doing a 2-part calcium product (ie ESV Bionic 2 part) that would act as the buffer.
