Spa bleaching and dying

Hwy guys I been tryin to keep acro's in my tank but every time I purchase one it looks good for a week and then it goes down hill from there ,, my parmeters are

Ph-8.3
Salinty-1.025
Amm-0
Nitrate-0
Nitrite-0
Calcium-420
I don't have a magnesium test but I am dosing Kent magnesium tech I just don't know what else it could be . I don't have a sump but that issue is being addressed as we speak. Unjust built a 40 gal sump/ refugium and it will be runnin by this weekend ,, pleasee any ideas?? V

What kind of lights do you have? How is the stability of the tank? Are you keeping other SPS?

Actually dosing too much Mag can result in Bleaching so test your Mag.

you could be dosing too much tooo fast. shocking and killing the sps. good rule of thumb is dont dose what you cant test for.

What are your phosphate level? Little phosphate(0.05-0.10) in the tank could wipe out your sps.

From my experience this tends to brown them out not bleach.

ok,,guys,,,,i dont have a phosfate test,,,and i am on my way to purchase my mag test now,,,i guess i should purchase a phosfate test also ,,,,,,so should i assume that my lfs is full of sh** bc he is sayin that my sps's arent growing bc i have a canister filter?

i have a mag and phospahate test kit if u wanna bring ur water over i can test it for u

i have tested my nitrates and they are zero.,,they have been 0 for a while now

Nyreef. I am using oceanic natural sea salt ,, the one in the big blue tub

+1 just bleached 3 sps b/c of high mag
