IIRC - your tank is new - isn't it?
You should not have any of those critters in your tank.
Sand sifting stars need a sandbed that is FULL of life or they too will starve.
Did you get the Hare due to an algae issue? If there was not enough for them to eat, surely they will die.

Can you post a pic of the tank?

My tank is "new" to me but not new. It has been up for about 18 months in all. The stars have been in for the last 4 months since I bought it and seem to be fine thus far. I got the TWO hares to ensure that I would never have an algae issue (I've never actually had any algae breakouts yet) so it sounds like they may have starved (maybe I shouldn't have added them). This tank is a 180 gallons and all corals seem to be healthy and are still showing growth (my 3 headed ducan just sprouted two new heads this week for example). I have close to 150 pounds of LR so I guess its possible they are still "hiding".

If I can't find them then do I just let it be? I'd had to pull out all of my rock to look for them?
