stock pump in biocube 14

I bought this cube used, and its old. The return is on the right side of the tank, the new ones have it on the left. I'm thinking the pump is producing roughly 140-150 gph, I'm thinking of upgrading it to 260 so I get excellent turn over (and maybe the cyano will ease up).

I have a bocube my sellf and replaced the returning pump with a rio one but you can get one from hydor wich i belive they are more dependable !go with a pump with more gph would benefit from not putting extra pumps in the tank !

I've heard of people upgrading the biocube return pumps. What is the reason for this? Is it to get the water in and out of your back chambers as quickly as possible or is it to add higher flow in the display area or both?
both.. since I've added a large pump (maxi jet 900) my zoa's and ric's have opened all the way up like they did right under the return, that was atleast 6 months ago.

i have a new biocube with stock pump came with a 600 and i think the flow is pathetic so i invested in a mp10 will upgrade soon to a higher maxijet
If I had mp10 money I would have had it longggg ago but its makes an already expense hobby extra costly.
