I am currently doing a 45 gallon setup and I've had a ro/di for my nano. I've never was able to get a 0 tds ( best is 7), so I bought all new filters and ro membrane from pure water club, which a number of people have had success with. Once the first few gallons were through the system, my TDS is reading 10. The water going in reads 215. Before I make 45+ gallons, is this acceptable to use without any future problems. I don't want to buy a new unit to find out this is the best I'm going to get base upon my water quality going in.

Thanks!

You might also want to flush/rinse the new filters for a good 5-10 minutes before making your batch.

Before the DI i just got a 47 TDS. After 10.

Is it the quality of the membrane? I know everyone say 0 TDS is the best but can 10 be used? If there will be problems, I guess I'll be looking for a new RO unit.

There is about 10 gallons already through the new filters.

Well I have heart TDS shouldn't be over 5 but I'm not an expert.
Are you sure everything is connected properly? Your drain hose isn't bend or something wrong with drain valve if you have one?
You don't have to change whole ro unit you can replace only membrane.

Thanks for the advice. I'll order a new membrane from another place and see what I get.
Happy holidays.

Make sure you gonna buy exact the same flow rate membrane you have installed in your filter right now other way you have to change flow restrictor cause your filter will work incorrect.

Happy Holiday to yo too!

What is the water pressure your system is running with? If you don't know, it's very important to get yourself a pressure gauge to check the psi to possibly save your money from purchasing any more replacement filter cartridges. Your system needs greater than appx 70-75 psi to operate properly. Beneath this pressure rating your system will not produce water efficiently (both in quantity and quality (TDS)).
