Tomorrow starts the BRS group buy that paneubert organized, with 71 members of N-R (and probably other forums). I'll be looking to buy dry rock for my new 75RR.

Just last night I watched a new BRS TV video that raised some questions about what rock (or combination of) that I should choose. Watch the video here

The 12 lb Pukani rock shown in the video is gigantic compared to the Eco Rock and Dry Figi. I would need substantially less rock to fill my 75 than the other two choices I listed above. I think it looks a lot more interesting than regular figi, and I'd say it's a close tie with the eco rock, since it appears to be so easy to aquascape.

So my question is: Does the low density of the Pukani negatively affect the denitrification process?

i love marco rock myself, not as much their new rock but the old stuff was very light for the size and had a ton of surface area. the more surface area the better and you cant go to porous

There are guys on the review section who say order half a pound per gallon since it's so light. Watch the video, it's got a lot of volume for it's weight. I may order too much off the stuff on purpose, then bjust sell what I don't need on here. At less than 3 dollars per pound delivered, I don't think there's any way to lose.
