Metallic spray paint for mirror effect?

I'm thinking a chrome (or any silver metallic) spraypaint might give a nice mirror effect on the back of my tank- so instead of just hiding wires and HOB equipment, it'll give the illusion that the tank is actually deeper.

Has anyone tried it? The only Krylon Fusion I've found that's metallic has a "shimmer", or flecks of stuff in it, so I don't know if it'll look funny (distracting) or smooth enough for that nice mirror effect...

why don't you just use a mirrored background like a mirror tint?

if it gives a nice clean reflection, it's probably gonna piss most of your fish off and they'll spend the majority of the time trying to chase off their own reflections.

Ah, wasn't thinking of that... Yeah, I guess in that case, something removable would be a better idea.
