is a 002 reading good for ro water?

have a whole house ro system, bought a tds meter today and reading was 002. i know zero is optimum but at what point should i change the filters. i have a di that i never hooked up will i notice a difference with a di?

Space, did you measure again? I had 002 on my tds reading last week. I cleaned the container with RO and tested again, and it came in at 000

Exactly right.

002 is a great reading from your RO. That's what you use for your household. Now take that and run it through DI resin and you will drop it to zero.

To answer your question, you will get a mixed review cause noone will want to go outside of the 000 reading since there is a likelihood of introducing unwanted elements.


i have used 001 and started having red slime with GFO and chemi elite running.

had to nuke the tank with red slime remover and hasn't come back. performed huge water changes, switched to different water supply and no return. too much info ;x
