I used Krylon fusion, this works great on glass if you have the room to spray paint the tank. If you don't then use Rustoleum Painter's touch with a small roller. here's a pic of the painters touch. with both paints several coats will work best.

I always use Rustoleum with those skinny (frankfutter looking) pink rollers on the long rod. No fuss, no muss, no mess.;) Couple of coats, and I'm done.:) Never had the need for clear coats or anything else.

Spray paints can be messy if used in doors.:(:spin:

thanks for a lot of advice and i dont think ill be spray painting it bc my garage is cold and not attached to my house and my basement is finished and thats where the tank is going

i think i bought this for like $7 and still have 3/4 left haha, applied about 2.5 coats
