Putting an apc pc battery to work

I have always relied on my pcs extra back up battery if the power failed to keep my water critters alive and i never had to as we don't get blackouts a lot in NYC so I decided to simulate it and I ran 2 power heads , a maxi jet 1200 and a koralia mag and it was amazing that they ran for about 2 and a half hours so imagine if you just ran an air pump just how long it would last ?!

Has anyone ever tried this before and if so what was the outcome ??

two hours isnt that much. the higher powered ones should run a couple maxis for longer than that. i have the APC 1200 or 1500 and while i haven't used it personally i have loaned it out to members when they lost power and they ran pumps for a day or so on it.
