solana help

looking to add a chiller, i got a current 1/10 chiller but dont know what size pump i need or where to put it at. can some 1 give me some info.

have the current 1\10th also, where will you be polacing the chiller ? how far will it have to go up and down to and from chiller ?

id look into a small external, have it syphon from drain side of tank and plumb it as the return for tank, if i remember you need atleast 400+ gph on the chiller and it does put off some heat, but also can plug ur heater into it and it will control it as well

i dont have a solana i have mine on my 80g system and it is plumbed into the return

I have a Solana and a JBJ 1/10th hp chiller sitting on the floor next to the tank. Last summer I ran it by replacing the Solana's return pump wth a maxijet utiity pump 3000. It pumped into the chiller and then the return went to the Solana's sump return. It worked well but you might be able to use a weaker pump. Actually the Solana's pump might be fine but the flow would be slowed a bit. I had the maxijet lying around.
