Need help finishing a stand

Hey guys,

So I have a 125g tank and I built this stand over a year ago and the tank is going great...but i think I should get around to finishing it.

Right now what I have basically looks like this

I want to finish it off and make it look nice, but i need you help on determining what to get so it doesnt look terrible

good grain plywood.wood glue ,trim,nail gun,some stain or paint and you should be good to go

Here are a few pics of mine. I used the DIY stand template too. Duke had a good start. I rented a mitre saw from home depot for the day. I used crown molding for the top trim and base board molding for the bottom. I would suggest you buy some extra trim if it is the first time you are going to be using a mitre saw. I had to make a run back to lowes to get another piece.

Yeah. That's why I thought you're comment regarding the good grained wood and such was important. I was mainly thinking about the trim.

This is one I am finishing up for a good friend. 1/2" Cabinet grade Birch ply over a 2x4 frame.
