FYI, you have two external pumps that are being severely restricted with the plumbing the way you have it done. Coming off your discharge directly into a 90 degree elbow restricts the flow by probably 100 gph minimum, right off the bat.
The next potential issue is the check valve. If your return plumbing is up at the top of your tank and you have enough 'empty volume' in your sump there is no need for the check valve. The only thing that can come from having one is restricted flow, failed valve, increased heat (due to increased back pressure). I'd remove it and not replace it. JMO :)
