Need Advice on Test Kit

I need good advice.
I recently bought API test kit.
Is this kit accurate?
anyone using it?

I use that kit to test nitrates but the most accurate kits are elos and salifert

I've used a lot of API kits over the years, I can't say the results differ from other brands, though many folks don't trust them. Most depend on API kits for ammonina, nitrite and nitrate and even pH, but tend to buy Salifert or Elso for Ca, Alk, Mg testing.

No. Garbage. Only good for when testing during a cycle. It's not accurate. Salifert or elos I'd only trust for precise measurements...

Those test kits well be just fine,I know plenty of people who have been using them for years including myself,

For tank success - focus on stability. Perform your daily water changes, Top off regularly too keep salinity constant and get a controller for your heater.

well to have an issue you have to compate to something else.
I have nothing to copare API to.

mine shows
PH 8.4. Ammonia shows 0 (i think). Nitrite 0, Nitrate is 5

They are fine and will at least provide you with an answer when testing. follow Kathyc posting and when you can make your own comparison with a brand from another company. for now use what you have and test your water.
