Apistatia will retract into a crevas or hole in the rock usally or ball up very tiny. If its tiny and not right against your coral you could put some coral glue over top of it. I've done this on small apistatia that is on my frags and it works pretty well.

You can also inject it with vinegar using a syringe. This is a little tricky because they retract very quickly. But it is definitely One solution. I had some Aiptasia in my 25 gallon so I got a peppermint shrimp. I haven't seen any since getting it

if you use shrimp or fish...once the aip is gone..they might turn on your coral! aiptasia x is awesome.... I have to inject every now and again. sucks..but it's not that bad.... scan the tank weekly for it.
