Fan or Chiller

I have a 37 gallon tank, and in the summer it reaches the temp. of 84-86. I was wondering if I could just use a fan to blow the top of the tank.

I have zoas and polys corals.:spin:

Fan should be enough. Just remember to keep plenty of fresh water for top off.

I have a 90 gallon, mh lighting. All i use is a fan - keeps the temp at 77. I do have alot of r/o water on stand by b/c it evaporates so fast

Got my fan from walmart, cheap and simple. Does the job of cooling down my tank.

I brought 2 pc fans and spliced them to a power adapter. And they blow air across my MH. Works for me. Also run a clip on fan on my sump.

How about going with an open top...took 2 degrees off my tank just by losing the top.

Downside is evaporation is up...

My top is opened, Now I have to look for a clip-on fan. Thanks guys.
