Got my first scoly 4 days ago. I plan on spotfeeding atleast once a week, however the only problem is its feeding tentacles aren't coming out at night... I have the scoly placed on the sandbed. My levels as of 3 days ago are as follows:

Alk: 8.8
Cal: 410
pH: 8.1
Mag: 1200

Any help would be much appreciated.

It's possible that the Scoly wasn't feed regularly, or at all, so the feeders aren't coming out. You'll need to put food in the tank every day and in a short while the feeders will start to come out. Trying putting the food in the mouth area, that will also help.

you dont have to feed it directly but it does help.. it also grows faster by feeding.. i got my second one a few days ago and its tenticles are not coming out as well.. what i have been doing is just placing food right on his mouth and i see him suck the mysis right in.. takes a week or two until the scoly gets use to feeding and will open up with tentacles at night
