**Pricing update 9/9/2011**
Hi guys,
After years of watching other here say "it's time to make an exit" I find myself saying the same thing. I've had a good run but I can't keep the tank and the wife would really like to reclaim the space.
I'd prefer to sell everything at once and I think that price will be highly reasonable ($500 for the works) but I'm not going to wait around and will sell parts if that's what it takes to get things moving. Sadly, I've had a number of people who were interested in the past but I always got some story about not being able to get a van, etc...
Here's a run down of the details.
75Gallon glass tank on metal stand. I originally started as a reef but didn't keep up with the maintenance so there are no live corals in there now.
260W fixture with all 10,000K blubs right now but I've kept the (used) actinics around as I have no way to test output. You can check what they cost at Dr Fosters.
Tank currently has three fish. (I'm adding prices is you want to purchase fish sep)
Bi-Colored Angel ($40)
Lemon Peel Angel ($40)
Med/Lrg PJ Cardinal ($20) (buy all three for $75)
(photo above shows Yellow tank which is no longer avail)
Underneath the show tank sits a 40G breeder (tall) glass tank which orig cost $100. Size of this sump helps keep a larger total displacement which minimizes risks for water quality and change schedule. (If sold sep, will take $60 for 40G breeder tank)
Additionally, I have a Magnum 350 canister filter (with the normal and micro filter sleeves).
Protein skimmer (not a big brand but does a nice job)
I'm using a QuietOnes pump and it's pushing a lot of GPH at about 4ft. There is a good amount of daily evaporation. I've added RO water manually on a weekly basis bu I'd sugg setting up an automatic drip line.
** I AM including my RO unit as well. I wasn't originally going to do it b/c I could use it around the house but I assume that it would be important to someone buing a complete setup so it goes with the $500 full sale if you want it***
A few more quick houskeeping notes.
There is about 100lbs of live rock with very nice purple coraline growth. Many a fairly large show pieces with significant weight to them. Most folks around here sell live rock for an avg of $3/lb so keep in mind that paying $500 for the entire setup is a steal when you think about the rock value alone forget about the tanks and electrical stuff. (Live Rock on it's own I'll sell off for $2.50LB)
Included.
OTHER STUFF NOT INCLUDED IN THIS SETUP:
I also have a brand new duplicate 48" light fixture that was never used still in box. I did swap bulbs out of it, so it's NOT included in the $500 price. Orig cost $250 and I'd like to see $100 for it. I do have some used bulbs but a full new set on ebay will only cost you about $75.
I have a custom Plexi nano tank I built that is also FS. It was designed to sit on top of a 1/2 height, 2 drawer, filing cabinet. It's 9G and I used a hidden 10G tank under the desk as a sump. Email for photos if interested.
I believe that I'll be around on Sunday or Monday if you like.
