I was in the process of thinning out my sand bed. I thought I was just getting rid of 20 lb or so, but looks like it's more like 60 lbs. Already sold some to nycearnestchink. Should have about 20-30lb left.
Since people who buy live sand usually are those who like to kick start their new tank, I'm throwing in some chaeto from my pod tank, along with the pod from the same tank. I have at least 2 types (maybe 3) of pods in there:
1) The Tisbe biminiensis likes to cling on to the tank wall. They are the most common type of copepod. They consume uneaten food and wastes as well as phytoplankton in the tank and refugium. Great food for Dragonettes.

2) The Parvocalanus crassirostris is a small pelagic copepod. Their small size is optimum for capture by the finest filter feeders such as feather dusters and Christmas tree worms, SPS corals and sponges. They swim in the water column and it's hard for a normal reef tank to reproduce, but I have them in there. Very likely you'll get some in the bag of chaeto and pod water.

3) Since I also have amphipod in the pod tank that has chaeto, there may be a chance to have baby amphipod clinging on to the chaeto as well.
You may wonder how I know which type of copepods I have. I culture them. That's why I know what they are.
Since nycearnestchink just got a bag of it from me, you can ask him about the quality of the sand and the pods.
The Live Sand is $1 per lb OBO. I should have no more than 20-30 lb left. The small little ball of chaeto with pods will be in a small sandwich bag. I will get the pod tank water with it as well, and hope to get you some Parvocalanus crassirostris in it. They are super tiny. Quite difficult to intentionally catch them.
Please PM me for any questions.
